Well, mark this in your calendar folks, I have actually done core work more than once in a single month! After last weeks workout I was sore. I mean damn. So I laid off doing anything with my abs and tried to stick with my booty and my upper legs/hips. Monday night I wanted to go for a run but it was raining and I just didn't feel like battling the down pour. So I decided that round 2 of core work would commence.
To make the time go by faster I decided I would work out while watching E! News; Its just the kind of mindless entertainment to keep my mind off the fact that I hate working on my core. Plus, sometimes they give you info on how certain celebs get in shape.

Mondays celebrity body: Bradly Cooper from A-Team. Specifically, his abs. So, even though I had already held the plank, I was inspired to revisit this position. Thanks E! After 30 minutes of none stop workouts I was sweating. Thumbs up!
Yesterday, I planned on running but I developed a horrible sinus headache. I mean, it was bad. Not one to let my allergies to win, I decided I would work on my booty, upper legs and hips. After a few minutes of watching E! News, they conveniently started to talk about how to get a nice butt like JLo or Kim Kardashian - how nice of them! Not that I necessarily strive to have the same things as celebrities, but it at least gives me new ideas for work out routines :)After 10 minutes of working out, I noticed my headache was not as bad so I strapped on my tennis shoes and headed out for an easy 10 minute run. Well, when I say easy, I mean I pushed myself. My upper legs were so sore from the workouts I had been doing but I ignored their whining and pushed myself to run for 10 minutes straight. I went a total of 1.17 miles which equaled out to an 8:32 pace. High five! Its not always easy for me to hit that speed and I can't go very long, but training for Marine Core should start at the end of this month so for now I am trying to still have fun with my speed :)
My sisters Engagement party was a huge success! We had a lot of fun and we had a good crowd! Thanks to everyone who could make it.

Awesome job on the core work! You're doing great with the speedy runs too.

Great job on both the run and the core work!!!
And the party sounds like it was fun. I so wish I could have been there. Boo for a million states in between me and you girls! lol
Nice job Jocelyn. I notice that when I have a headache if I can force myself out the door to run, my headache always goes away. I guess something is to be said about endorphins.
Great job pushing through and getting your workout in.
You're doing so good! I love the watching E! New idea. It's funny how much mind games are needed to get you through a work out. I'm definitely stealing that one!
I'm an E! lover too, guilty!
However, I think I am more guilty of loving cupcakes. Yum! Watched a new cupcake show last night on food network. I don't recommend it - it makes you very hungry! ;)
