WOOOO HOOOO!!!Guess what I did...I haven't done it in oh...17 days...I worked out! Holy moley guacamole stromboli! I've had two rather rough weeks, so I decided to pull myself together, face the rain and wind, and walk to the gym. NYC is having crazy winds and rain today. I was happy that I didn't get stuck with beautiful weather on the first day of spring... no wait, let me explain. It would have made me bitter to be inside!! I don't own a bike so the option to ride outdoors wouldn't have been there...and the temptation to knock over a Chinese food delivery boy and steal his bike would have been elevated to red alert.
Before I left I asked my favorite roommates if they wanted to join me. She declined saying she "had to um...get ready to go to my mom's house later tonight." hahaha and I don't know what his excuse was. I reminded him that his new years resolution was to go to the gym. He promised to join me tomorrow, but after I said "I'll hold you to that," I realized that he was thinking I wouldn't be going. Silly roommates. I also think they were just chicken to walk in the nasty weather.
My gym is not fancy so there are only 6 TVs - 2 of which are Spanish channels. I decided not to rely on Telemundo to entertain me and brought a book. I chose the "Around the World" hill setting and pedaled away while I dove into my girlie book. Only once in a while did I realize "damn the resistance just got super tough" - so my book did a good job in distracting me.I made it 15 miles in an hour and worked up a good sweat. Stairs are not easy to walk down after being on a bike for an hour. My legs sort of gave way a couple times. Still didn't fall! HOLLA. I did a 15 minute upper body work out and then stretched.
I am so glad I made it to the gym today. It has been so long and I was starting to feel very unfit and well, just gross! Now I feel refreshed and ready for tomorrows work out :D

Sounds like a great workout sweets! We are getting the same weather here! Its crazy! But it could be snowing and thats worse so i guess rain is a win! So proud of you!
